Type that breathes
Variable fonts driven by an idle loop.
Fraunces has an optical-size axis and a weight axis, so I wired both to a slow sine wave. Left alone, the headline inhales and exhales — never enough to read as animation, just enough to feel alive.
The hard part was making it stop. Motion that never rests gets annoying fast.
